Tips to Prepare Your Skin for Summer

People want to be young, but not always a new facelift is needed. Just following these simple rules: eat right food, do not smoke, do not drink alcohol, have a life without stress, do exercise during day, and especially when autumn rolls around, it’s crucial to prepare your skin with the right products and treatments for what it is about to face: a dip in temperatures, a lack of humidity and that uncomfortable tightness (that sometimes comes along with redness and flaking).

But what about when the temperatures start to rise for example during summer? Exfoliation is of the most important thing during the post-winter months. Our metabolism slows during winter, so the skin doesn’t naturally exfoliate as quickly as normal. You want to exfoliate gently, without abrading the skin, so that your makeup goes on that much better. Also, the liver naturally detoxes during spring (it does its own spring-cleaning), so you may break out more. Cleansing from the inside out, with the proper diet, drinking plenty of water with lemon and taking a liquid probiotic daily, helps tremendously so waste doesn’t get expelled through the skin. To treat breakouts, use a day mask over moisturizer and steam your pores over a bowl of hot water with rosemary.

This is an example of homemade face mask for mature skin:
ingredients:

  • half-avocado pulp
  • a spoon of honey
  • two spoons of cream
  • a spoon of olive oil
  • 10 drops of lavender essential oil
  • 10 drops of essential oil of incense

Place all ingredients in blender and mix them, later smeared the cream all over your face avoiding the eye area. Take action for 20 minutes and then rinse well with warm water.

It’s good to remember that a face cream, although natural, does not improve the appearance of wrinkles and it doesn’t reduce skin aging if it is not combined with a healthy diet that includes plenty of water, fruits and vegetables.
